Germany are the early leaders as the ladies teams gets underway. Close behind after two matches are Italy, England and the Czech Republic. Of the fancied teams, Denmark had a bad day and Netherlands and Sweden are also below half-way, but there is plenty of time for all that to change.

Norway are still powering along at the top of the open rankings, despite a 9-21 setback at the hands of Scotland in Round 10, with Russia also having a handy edge over the chasing pack. Maastricht semi-finalists, England are still struggling to find their form, but most of the other fancied teams are moving nicely into contention. Greece are flying the flag for the less fancied nations, lying in third place after ten rounds.
